A Coldwater couple were arrested Friday after state and local authorities executed a search warrant at their home.

According to Tate County, around 6 a.m., the Tate County Sheriff’s Office and Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics agents executed the search warrant at a home in the 400 block of Commerce Street in Coldwater.

Arrested in connection with this investigation were Alvaro Altamirano-Cortez, 35, and Kristen D. Jones, 28, both of Coldwater. Cortez is charged with Sale of Controlled Substance (Fentanyl) and Jones is charged with Possession of Controlled Substance (Fentanyl). Both are being held in the Tate County Jail.
