On November 3, Covington County deputies responded to a domestic call at 202 Calhoun Rd., in Mt. Olive.
A man named Benjamin White was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a weapon.
He and the victim, Danah McNair, had gotten into a physical altercation which led to him shooting her.
McNair was able to drive herself to the hospital and remains hospitalized.
The investigation is ongoing by the Covington County Sheriff’s Office. Bond was denied by Justice Court Judge Bobby Wayne Mooney.
