A woman has been arrested after WLBT reports she fled the scene of an accident, hitting two police cruisers.

Authorities told WLBT that Pearl Police Department was called to the scene of a wreck and then the car believed to be responsible for the accident left the scene.

Pearl police then reportedly chased the woman down Airport Road into Flowood. That’s when Flowood Police Department got involved, working to box the fleeing driver in with their vehicles.

Police say the woman hit a Flowood police cruiser with her vehicle, at which point she tried to back up and hit a Pearl cruiser as well.

The woman was then taken into custody uneventfully.
