Woman charged for allegedly hitting boyfriend with a car

An Oxford woman is behind bars after police say she struck a man with her car.

A release from Oxford Police Department said on Sunday, police were called to Molly Barr Road where a pedestrian had been struck by a car as a result of a domestic violence incident. The victim was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Police looked into the case and arrested Laquandra Dye, 26. She was charged with aggravated assault and leaving the scene of an accident.

Dye was given a bond of $85,000.
