According to a report from Vicksburg News, Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace announced on Wednesday that 21-year-old Austin Zane Wigley, a resident of Warren County, had turned himself in on a child abuse charge.
Wigley was arrested after information was received about a sexual battery incident that happened in 2018.
In 2018, Wigley would have been 17 years old and the victim was 14 years old.
According to the report, Wigley had been involved in a prior molestation charge that wasn’t related to this current case.
Wednesday, Wigley surrendered to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office at 9:00 a.m.
He has been charged with sexual battery.
