The Picayune Police Department announced that a wanted fugitive from August has been captured in Houston, Texas.
According to the police department, Christian Zelaya was wanted for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
Wednesday, with the assistance of the US Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force, Zelaya was taken into custody in Houston TX.
Zelaya will be incarcerated there pending his extradition back to the Pearl River County Jail.
The Sheriff’s Department posted on Facebook saying,
“We appreciate all the tips from the public and the assistance from other agencies, especially the US Marshals! It’s always so much easier if you just come to us but oh well some people never learn!”
