A female was arrested by the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Department after officers said she tried to bring marijuana and an electronic device into the Yazoo County Correctional Facility.
The incident happened Sunday, February 4, when officers with the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Office were notified of a visitor who introduced contraband during visitation.
Quateja Vanburen was taken into custody for bringing marijuana and an electronic device into the jail.
The Sheriff’s Department said, “The introduction of contraband WILL NOT be tolerated and anyone that is caught introducing any contraband of any kind will be prosecuted. This is not only dangerous to the inmate population but it is very dangerous for staff as well.”
