UPDATE: Jackson Man Arrested After Home Shot Into In Madison

The Madison Police Department arrested 38-year-old Roman Cortez Hines of Jackson, in connection with a shooting incident that took place on July 11, in the Northbay Subdivision.

Hines was apprehended without incident and faces charges of Drive-By Shooting and Shooting Into an Occupied Dwelling.

The arrest follows an extensive investigation conducted in collaboration with the Mississippi Bureau of Investigations (MBI). Several search warrants were executed, leading to the collection of valuable evidence related to the crime.

The Madison Police Department expressed gratitude to all officers and agencies involved in the investigation, including the MBI, Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, Homeland Security Investigations, Ridgeland Police Department, Jackson Police Department, and the Ontario Provincial Police – Highway Enforcement Team.

Hines’ case will be forwarded to Madison/Rankin County District Attorney John ‘Bubba’ Bramlett for prosecution after his initial appearance in the City of Madison Municipal Court. He is currently held at the Madison County Detention Center awaiting his court appearance.
