The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal wreck in Hancock County.

On Wednesday around 3:00 a.m., troopers responded to a fatal crash on Interstate 10 in which a 2023 Volvo Commercial Auto Transporter driven by 29-year-old Oleg Tarasevich and the passenger 24-year-old Yakov Tarasevich, both of Chesnee, South Carolina, were traveling west on Interstate 10 when the semi-truck, loaded with five passenger cars, left the road and overturned.

The clean-up process took nearly 10 hours while first responders and crews worked to clear the scene with one open travel lane. All lanes were re-opened at 1:00 p.m.

Both Tarasevich brothers received fatal injuries from the crash.
