Two Juvenile Escapees Captured By Capitol Police After Allegedly Carjacking Individual

The two juveniles who escaped from Henley Young Detention Center and Holmes were arrested early this morning by Capitol Police. All three escapees are now back in custody.

At approximately 12:30 a.m., July 6th, a subject was carjacked at gunpoint on Alexander Street by two males.

Capitol police found the carjacked vehicle at GlenOak Apartments on Robinson Road a few hours later.

While recovering the stolen vehicle, investigators developed information on the two suspects involved and their location.

While obtaining a search warrant, investigators conducted surveillance on the location where the two subjects were believed to be located.

As soon as officers started to serve the search warrant, the suspects tried to run from the apartment but were quickly taken into custody.

Capitol police identified the suspects as 15-year-old Jashon Jones and 17-year-old Tayshon Holmes. They were the two juveniles who escaped from Henley Young Detention Center.

They will both be charged as adults with Armed Carjacking.
