Jackson Police are investigating two shootings that occurred overnight, racking up the 62nd and 63rd homicides of 2022.

The first homicide occurred in the
2600 block of Revere Drive. An unknown male was found inside a burnt vehicle with a gunshot wound to the back. Two suspects were seen running from the vehicle.

A second homicide of the night occurred in the 3100 block of Fleetwood Drive. Terrencia Jackson, 26, was shot multiple times while laying in her bed.

Another individual believed to be her boyfriend was also shot while laying in bed and was transported to a local hospital. No motive is known at this time.
