Bond was set in Warren County Justice Court for two individuals being held on drug charges.
At around 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning, units with the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, Vicksburg PD Narcotics and the District Attorney’s office served a search warrant and arrest warrant at No.69 Clark Road. The arrest warrant was for 36-year-old Lance Burton who is charged with Sale of Methamphetamine.
Methamphetamine and 38 tablets of ecstasy was recovered during the search of the property. Burton is now also charged with Possession of Ecstasy with intent to distribute and Possession of Methamphetamine. He is currently under indictment as a habitual offender with two prior felony convictions and he was denied bond by Judge Crevitt.
The homeowner, 42-year-old Cassidy Gurley, was also arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and Possession of Ecstasy with the intent to Distribute. She was given a $30,000 bond by Judge Crevitt. Gurley will be ineligible to post bond to the DA’s Office placing a detainer on her because of recent charge already pending.
“This is one of several cases that we have developed with the cooperation and working relationship with Vicksburg PD Narcotics and Warren County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics and there will be more to come,” Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace said.
These arrest were apart of a two month investigation which included surveillance.
