According to the Daily Leader, two suspects have been arrested in connection a homicide at a music studio in Lincoln County.

22-year-old Dantez Frith and 19-year-old Cameron Stewart were arrested Saturday and charged with first-degree murder. Both men are from Pike County.

On Friday evening, 22-year-old La’Curtis Hackett, was shot to death in a friend’s home off of Mill Creek Road.

Sheriff Steve Rushing said around 5:30 p.m., dispatch received a call of a shooting in a music studio in that residence. Three people had been at the home when the door was kicked in and an assailant allegedly came inside and shot Hackett several times.

The Daily Leader wrote that Lincoln County Chief Deputy Johnny Hall said,

“We want to thank Pike County Sheriff’s Office and McComb Police Department for their assistance in capturing the suspects. Also, the investigators of Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office worked tirelessly all weekend to apprehend these two suspects.”
