Two men have been arrested and charged with one count of Auto Burglary with the possibility of additional charges being added.
Early this morning at around 1:30 a.m. Madison police officers responded to a call from a resident about a suspicious person and car alarm going off in the Woods Crossing subdivision. While going through the area, authorities found that many residents’ vehicles had been broken into in Woods Crossing. They also found the surrounding subdivisions of Tidewater, Sandalwood, and Highwoods have cars broken into.
The two men who have been arrested and charged are Kentario Buie, 19-year-old of Crystal Springs, and Marcavious Palmer, 18-year-old of Clinton.
A third person that was believed to be involved in the burglaries is Devin Isaiah Bates. The 19-year-old of Jackson has an arrest warrant issued for Auto Burglary. He is believed to be driving a stolen vehicle from the area. The car is a 2007 Red Honda Element with an MS License Plate E965CH. If anyone has more information regarding Bates’ whereabouts, please contact your local law enforcement immediately.
