On April 26, at approximately 10:30 pm Tupelo Officers responded to an Applebee’s for a reported stolen auto. The Victim advised that their white 2014 Hyundai Accent had been taken between 4 pm and 10:15 pm that evening.
As officers were completing the stolen vehicle report another call was received of individuals stealing a license plate from a vehicle in the area of 527 Carnation (Salvation Army).
On Carnation Street TPD Officers located suspects Jonathan Henry, 23, of Abbeville, and Timothy Hossier, 21, of Tupelo, standing by the stolen Hyundai now missing its license plate.
Henry fled on foot into a wooded area but was quickly located by TPD police K-9 units and arrested without injury. Both suspects were transported to LSO and after preliminary investigation charged with Felony Motor Vehicle Theft.
On April 27, Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Weir set bond for each at $25,000.
