On August 4, officers with the Tupelo Police Department made contact with a man on Dogwood Drive.
Police said that his vehicle was blocking the road and officers noticed a nearby vehicle with the passenger door standing open.
The individual exited the passenger side of the vehicle and was detained by officers.
Officers made contact with the owner of the vehicle and found out that he didn’t know the man in his vehicle.
24-year-old Onterrio Cummings was arrested and taken into custody by the Tupelo Police Department. He was charged with Burglary of a Vehicle.
Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Weir set Cummings bond at $15,000. These charges will be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury.
