A suspect wanted in a Jackson homicide investigation shot himself as Lincoln County deputies arrived to arrest him.
According to the Lincoln County Sheriff, Jackson police contacted Lincoln County and said that a murder suspect, Joshua Taylor, who was at a hotel in Lincoln County.
There was a juvenile from Hazlehurst in the hotel with the suspect.
Deputies arrived and began negotiating with the suspect.
The Lincoln County Sheriff said that Taylor shot himself before deputies could take him into custody.
He has been transported to UMMC and his condition is unknown.
