On March 3, at approximately 2:00 p.m., Precinct 2 Officers responded to the 1700 block of Barrett Avenue in Jackson in reference to a Shooting with Intent.
When officers arrived, they observed the deceased, a black male victim identified as Siris Catchings.
According to on-scene witnesses, the victim was shot multiple times by a black male identified as Joshua Taylor.
The shooting, according to witnesses, resulted from an ongoing verbal altercation involving the victim’s wife.
Suspect Joshua Taylor is still at large and should be considered armed and dangerous.
