Rankin EOC Director Brian Grantham said the missing woman wanted away from home earlier today and it was not discovered until she called her husband and told him she was lost in the woods.
The 60-year-old resident of County Line Road has her chocolate lab with her, and officials were able to pull metadata off a photo she sent from her phone around 6 pm.
Grantham said the Rankin County sheriffs department, Rankin County EOC, and other searchers from surrounding areas are scouring the woods at this time.
