A man has been arrested in Hattiesburg for allegedly trying to record people in a bathroom.

A release from Hattiesburg Police Department says Desmond Barnes, 34, was identified by complainants as someone who was trying to take cell phone video of people inside a bathroom in the 5900 block of Highway 49.

Officers located Barnes, and he attempted to run away through the store. He was finally arrested and charged with one felony count of voyeurism. Barnes, of Prentiss, has been booked into the Forrest County Jail.
