On December 1, Prentiss County Deputies were conducting a safety checkpoint.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as 34-year-old James David Braddock of Rienzi.
David was arrested by Deputy Cody Horn for a suspended driver’s license and DUI.
After further investigation James Braddock was charged with Felony possession of controlled substance, possession of controlled substance in a correctional facility and tampering with physical evidence for attempting to destroy evidence inside the jail.
Justice Court Judge Craig Bishop set James Braddock’s bond at $15,000. North MS Narcotics Agent Grady Smith will present the case to the next grand jury.Â
