A Pontotoc County man was sentenced to 40 years for Sexual Battery of a child under 14 and two counts of Fondling. On March 8, a Circuit Court Judge sentenced a Pontotoc County man to serve 40 years of mandatory prison time.

On February 24th, 2023, a Pontotoc County trial jury found 37-year-old Allan Charles Baucom, guilty of Sexual Battery of a child under 14 and two counts of Fondling.

Under Mississippi Law, Baucom is not eligible for parole or early release.

Sheriff Leo Mask and the Pontotoc County Sheriff’s Department investigated the incident, with help from the Children’s Advocacy Centers of Mississippi.

Assistant District Attorneys Sadie Gardner and Sidra Winter prosecuted the case for the State of Mississippi.
