On August 26, at 9:53 p.m., the Picayune Police Department was dispatched to sun Roamers on MS Pines Blvd in reference to an Aggravated Assault.
When officers arrived, they found a victim who had been shot several times. The suspect, Christian Zelaya, who they thought was in the area, was not there.
Officers with the Picayune Police Department, Pearl River County Sheriff’s Deputies, and air support from Harrison County Sheriff’s Department spent several hours looking for the suspect but were unsuccessful at locating him.
They believe that he left the area.
The victim is stable but seriously injured.
