According to Capitol Police,  they were alerted by a concerned citizen about a pedestrian who was hit by a vehicle near South West Street and Capitol Street.

Police say that details are very limited at this time, but the driver was transported to a nearby hospital and is in stable condition.

The victim was also transported to the hospital and is in critical condition.

Due to this being an ongoing investigation, no further comment can be made by Capitol police at this time.
