Oxford police release sketch, ask for public’s help to identify stabbing suspect

Police in Oxford have released a sketch and are asking for the public’s help identifying a man who broke into a home and stabbed a resident early Monday.

According to a release from Oxford Police Department, around 1:15 a.m. Monday, a white male entered a home in the Market District off of Garfield Avenue. The intruder then stabbed a resident of the house, and ran off before police could get there.

The victim was taken to the hospital and found to have non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect is a white male, between 5’6″ and 5’8″ and weighs around 130-140 pounds. He has blondish-brown hair and was wearing a powder blue polo shirt with khaki shorts and a tan hat.
