An Arkansas man is dead after a motorcycle wreck in Starkville.

According to Starkville Police Department, around 5 p.m. on Tuesday officers were called to a crash on Highway 12 at the intersection of Russell Street and Stone Boulevard.

Samuel Alan Shirley, 31, of Blytheville, Arkansas, was transported to OCH Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the other vehicle was taken to the hospital as well and treated for minor injuries.

An accident reconstruction is being conducted and police say the incident remains under investigation.
