On November 2, officers with the Tupelo Police Department responded to a business called Mac’s Tire on West Main Street in response to a 911 call about someone possibly burglarizing a vehicle.

When officers arrived, witnesses on the scene gave a description of the suspect. She was detained a short time later.

After further investigation, Shelley A. Wright (33 y/o female, Pontotoc) was charged with one count of Burglary of a Vehicle.

Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Allen ordered Wright to be held on a $5,000 bond. These charges will be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury.
