According to WTVA, a Mississippi youth pastor who was previously arrested for alleged child sex crimes now faces more charges in two jurisdictions.

27-year-old Alexander Blackwelder was charged by the Lee County Sheriff’s Department with two additional counts of sexual battery. The sheriff’s department did not share any additional details.

About a month ago, Tupelo police arrested Blackwelder and charged him with child enticement and two counts of sexual batery.

WTVA reports that at the time of his arrest, the Tupelo Police Department said he allegedly had inappropriate contact with a 16-year-old girl.

Blackwelder worked as a youth pastor at East Main Street Church of Christ in Tupelo.

He is now in the Lee County Jail.
