On Saturday at around 6 a.m., the Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to a fatal crash on Highway 603 in Hancock County involving a pedestrian.

A 2018 Honda Civic driven by 22-year-old Hailie Caster of Picayune, was traveling south on Highway 603 when the vehicle collided with 31-year-old Michael Lewis Roberts, of Bay St Louis.

Authorities say Roberts was crossing Highway 603 at Kiln Delisle Road. He received fatal injuries from the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

This crash is still under investigation by MHP.
