A Claiborne County man is dead and his brother has been arrested after a Christmas Day domestic dispute, officials said.

According to the Claiborne County Sheriff’s Department, the call came in of a domestic dispute between two brothers. When police arrived, they found Donnell Brinner lying on the ground, dead.

Melvin Brinner, the victim’s brother, was identified as the shooter and was arrested and charged with manslaughter.

Melvin Brinner’s bond has been denied. Officials say this is an ongoing investigation and has been bound over to the next Grand Jury.
