Man Arrested After Victim Alleges They Were Tied Up And Assaulted For Two Days At Southaven Home

On Monday, February 12, at approximately 10:30 A.M., the Southaven Police Department was advised of an unlawful confinement and aggravated assault at an address on Dela Drive.
The victim explained to officers that they were able to escape after the suspect, Brian Damron had passed out after consuming alcohol and medication.
The victim said they had been tied up and physically assaulted the last two days. The victim had numerous injuries and was transported for medical treatment.
Officers, along with SWAT and Negotiations responded to the residence. Officers had negative contact with the suspect.
The Southaven Police Department’s SWAT team was able to take the suspect into custody without any further incident.
The suspect has a criminal history of numerous violent offenses from other states including unlawful imprisonment, assault 2nd degree under extreme emotional disturbances, wanton endangerment, and burglary 3rd degree.
At this time the scene is secure, and there is no threat to the public.
