Man Arrested After Tupelo Business Robbed

On February 11, officers with the Tupelo Police Department were dispatched to a robbery at a business on West Main Street.
Upon arrival, a victim stated that a suspect approached their vehicle, opened their car door, and demanded their purse.
The suspect then entered a nearby vehicle and fled the scene.
On May 5, 27-year-old Quintel Montgomery (from Shannon) was arrested and charged with one count of Robbery (formerly called Strong-Arm Robbery).
On May 6, Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Weir ordered Montgomery to be held on a $40,000 bond. These charges will be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury.
