At approximately 12:13 p.m., Mississippi Highway Patrol State Troopers attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a Chevrolet Suburban traveling north on I-55 near Woodrow Wilson Boulevard. 

The driver led State Troopers in a pursuit that ended near Briarwood Drive.

The driver of the Suburban, identified as 45-year-old Joseph Rouser of Ridgeland, was taken into custody without incident and taken to the Hinds County Detention Center in Raymond. Charges against the driver are pending.

  This incident is under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
