A Pearl PD Special Operations Unit attempted a traffic stop on a Black Chevy S10 Truck on Hwy 80 in Pearl just after 6p. The driver did not stop and fled westbound on Hwy 80 into Jackson and then Clinton. The truck wrecked out near the intersection of Hwy 80 and College St in Clinton.

Christian Lloyd Dennington, 48 from Jackson, bailed out of the truck and fled. He was taken into custody after a short pursuit. He is charged with felony fleeing, possession of weapon by convicted felon, possession of controlled substance.

Dennington also has active warrants from Madison County.
