On Saturday, August 12, Hattiesburg police were called to an alleged kidnapping.
Upon investigation, 39-year-old Ethel Naracol Durr, of Petal, said that 55-year-old Christopher Troy Creech, from Georgia, unknowingly left with Durr’s 6-year-old daughter. He would not respond to any attempts at contact.
The Forrest County Sheriff’s Department helped Hattiesburg police pull over Creech and the child was located safely. Creech was taken into custody.
Durr was arrested and charged with neglect of a child.
Creech has been arrested and charged with kidnapping and failure to register as a sex offender.
Both were booked into the Forrest County Jail.
