Lincoln County spree killer’s motions for rehearing denied

Cory Godbolt, the convict serving four life sentences and four death sentences in Mississippi’s largest mass killing, had his motion for a rehearing denied by the Mississippi State Supreme Court on Thursday.

The Bogue Chitto native was convicted in 2020 in the 2017 Memorial Day weekend shooting deaths of Brenda May, Toccara May, Barbara Mitchell, Deputy William Durr, Austin Edwards, Jordan Blackwell, Sheila Burage and Ferral Burage.
