The Itawamba County Jail has long had a prison ministry, and recently they celebrated a big day.

According to a release on social media from the Itawamba County Sheriff’s Department says several female inmates recently dedicated or re-dedicated their lives and some were Baptized.

“Recently, we have had some wonderful things happening at our jail. As some may know, prison ministry has always been an important part of the Itawamba County jail. A few weeks ago, these women made the decision to dedicate or re-dedicate their lives to the Lord!!” the post reads, with a photo of more than 15 women.

The post then quotes Psalms 51:1: “Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion, blot out my transgressions.”
