On September 17, at around 9:30 pm Horn Lake Police Officers were dispatched to the 900 block of Goodman Road for a disturbance among family members.
When officers arrived at the home, they found two victims who had been stabbed.
A third family member, 54-year-old Angela Campbell, was disarmed by officers and identified as the offender.
The father of Ms. Campbell, 82-year-old Alvin Gilless Sr., was pronounced dead on the scene.
The brother of Ms. Campbell, Alvin Gilless Jr., was transported to Regional One Health Medical Center for treatment and has been released.
Ms. Campbell, pictured below, has been charged with Murder and Attempt to Commit an Offense to wit: Murder.
She is at the Desoto County Jail awaiting a bond. This investigation is still ongoing and there will be no more information released at this time.
