Do you recognize the suspect in the yellow vest? Call Crime Stoppers at 601-355-TIPS (8477).The Hinds County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect in recent shooting.
A release from Crime Stoppers says that on December 29, a black male subject entered the Dollar General located at 1153 Pocahontas Road in Flora. The suspect is shown in these photos dressed in a yellow vest, white gloves with a white hard hat on.
Authorities said he told people in the store there was a gas leak and that everyone needed to evacuate the building. The suspect then gave instructions for an employee to remove all the money from the registers and place it in the safe to secure it.
Becoming suspicious, the employee asked the suspect to leave the store. Then the suspect allegedly pulled a gun from his pants and the employee was shot.
