Hazlehurst man wanted in Copiah County ATV theft

A Hazlehurst man is wanted by Copiah County deputies after a trail camera appears to show him stealing an ATV.

The Copiah County Sheriff’s Department said in a release on Facebook that Alex Harper, 36, from the Hazlehurst area, has been identified by several people to allegedly be the suspect in the theft of a camo colored Honda 420 Rancher reported stolen on August 6 from the Sardis Road area after a trail camera captured what appeared to be a white male on the property where the ATV was stolen.

A warrant has been issued for Alex Harper for Grand Larceny. He is 5’11 and weighs approximately 190 pounds. He is known to have thick sideburns and a thick beard.

Harper is known to frequent Lawrence County and may be found in that area.
