Friday Weather: Rainy with some potential storms SE, temps in the 60s

From the National Weather Service today: Isolated severe storms are possible across areas east of the Mississippi river and south of Interstate 20 this morning through this afternoon. Damaging wind gusts are the primary concern with these storms, but a brief tornado or two can’t be ruled out.

Widespread rain, locally heavy at times and isolated severe storms will be possible across the region today, especially south of I-20. Highs will be warmer than normal in the 60s.

The chance for rain and a few storms will continue tonight. Low temperatures will be warmer than normal in the 50s.
