The Forrest County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help in finding the owner of a stolen camper and a French bulldog that was inside the camper.
The camper was recovered July 18 in South Forrest County.
Officers believe the French bulldog was also stolen and are trying to find the rightful owner of the dog.
The dog had an embedded chip but the chip did not reveal the identity of the owner or provide a number to call to determine ownership.
If you believe this dog may be yours, you may contact FCSO dispatch at 601-544-7800. Dispatch personnel will collect your name and contact information and you will in turn be contacted by a FCSO representative during normal business hours.
The Sheriff’s Department said that you will need to particularly describe your missing animal including a complete description of the dog, the chip number, and any other ways you may be able to prove ownership that may include photographic and/or documentary evidence. In the meantime, they are taking excellent care of the dog and he/she is in no danger.
