On Wednesday, two individuals got into an altercation at an apartment complex in the 300 block of Raymond Road.

The argument lead to one man getting shot in the head.

Police identified the suspect as Barnett Evans.

Evans was reported to have been at a house on Cooper Road, however, when officers arrived, he was not there.

Police were able to get in touch with the suspect by phone and a hostage negotiator was able to convince him to surrender.

The suspect was found at a house in the 200 block of Treehaven Drive and arrested.

The victim has not been identified and is being treated at the hospital for a gunshot wound to the head.
