The Tunica County Sheriff’s Department searched a home Friday night after receiving a tip that a truck driven by an escaped Arkansas inmate had been found at a trailer home.

Samuel Hartman, who was serving a life sentence in East Arkansas Regional Prison for rape, walked away from a work detail Friday.

ABC 24 out of Memphis reports that Hartman’s white 2021 Chevrolet Trail Boss was spotted on Carp Drive in Tunica, which led to a warrant service by the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office, DeSoto County SWAT team, and U.S. Marshals Friday night.

Police say Misty Hartman and Linda Annette White may be helping Hartman escape. None of the three were found in the home, but police say evidence at the home showed Hartman may have planned to stay there for a while.

Authorities continue to keep watch in Mississippi, ABC 24 reports, but they are also investigating leads that he has links to Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Wyoming.

Hartman, 38, is 5’9″ tall and weighs 230 pounds. He has tattoes of a heart, sword, “Forever & Always,” and “Sam-N-Christine.”

If you know where Samuel Hartman or either of his accomplices are, please call (870) 295-4700 with any information. Please do not approach them.
