A sweet dog at CARA, a no-kill animal shelter in Jackson Mississippi won a prestigious award and is looking for a forever home.
Arthur was the winner of “The Goodest Boy” award at a local dog show. He is our Darkhorse Dog of the Week. CARA said Arthur loved getting to escape the shelter and visit a local park this past Sunday.
According to the shelter, Arthur met tons of human friends and was so gentle around all of the small children who wanted to pet him.
Arthur loved all of the dogs he met too! (including a tea-cup Yorkie!) He is gentle and kind.
The shelter said they couldn’t have been more proud of their sweet pup.
Some of Arthur’s favorite things to do are,
- Sit in a human’s lap for love and cuddles
- Lay in the sunshine
- Explore the outdoors
- Relax, relax, relax
CARA estimates Arthur to be around 7 years old, despite having a few more gray hairs from his previous life of neglect.
Arthur just finished his heartworm treatment and is healthy and ready to find his forever home.
