Our Darkhorse Dog this week is named Anderson.
He is waiting for his home at the Copiah Animal Shelter.
Anderson is a shepherd mix who’s around 6-7 years old.
He was surrendered to the shelter because the owners said they could no longer care for him.
Anderson was heartworm positive but he has been treated by the shelter and now has a clean bill of health.
The shelter said that Anderson gets along with some dogs, but does not like cats. It would be better if he could be the only dog.
Anderson is housebroken and loves to be petted and play with his toy.
