People close to Josh Jarrell said he would never leave town without maintaining close contact with his children.
Authorities in Forrest County are still looking for him after he went missing in 2017. According to reports at the time, Jarrell was last seen on October 1, 2017, at Lowe’s.
When Jarrell disappeared, authorities said it appeared he didn’t plan to leave because everything he owned was left behind at his home. The 38-year-old was divorced with two children, and reporting from the time of the disappearance states he was working at Walmart in Petal while he lived with a friend.
On October 4, Jarrell’s Chrysler Crossfire was found in Ovett on Ovett-Moselle Road near Highway 29.
Allegedly, a witness reported seeing a black woman parking Jarrell’s car in that spot, and while there have been stories passed around that her name could have been Rebecca, there’s no official report that backs that up.
Josh Jarrell has a tattoo on the back of his neck. He’s around 6 feet tall and weighed about 140 at the time of his disappearance. He has light brown hair and blue eyes.
