The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is investigating an officer-involved shooting involving Capitol Police that occurred around 9 P.M. on Sunday.
A very brief release from MBI says the incident occurred near East Mayes Street.
Capitol Police have been involved in several line of duty shootings since being taken over by the Department of Public Safety this year.
MBI is currently assessing this critical incident and gathering evidence. The evidence will be sent to the Attorney General’s office.
