A grandfather allegedly shot his 18-year-old grandson during a domestic dispute in Byram Tuesday night.
Byron police chief David Errington says the shooting happened residence along the Siwell Road Corridor around 8:30 p.m.
The grandfather was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault/domestic violence.
The grandson is currently at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He underwent surgery Tuesday night and is currently in serious condition.
The names are not being released at this time.
