According to WTVA, a burglar was apprehended after breaking into several storage units and leaving behind an apology note, according to the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office.
The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department said the suspect stole personal belongings from the units but expressed remorse in the letter, revealing that he was a drug addict.
Sheriff Eddie Hawkins stated that in the note, the thief admitted he planned to sell the stolen items to fund his drug habit.
The note also included a promise to repay the victims for their losses.
